I want to sell products on the Internet is there a free site or paid site that handle credit card transactions

I have a variety of products to sell and I need any info regarding web providers. Should I start with a free site or paid site that excepts credit cards. Are there any good free sites to start a business or is there an inexpensive paid site I can use. Any advice and referals would be appreciated.

Have you tried ebay? Or maybe etsy.com, but etsy is more for handmade craft kind of items. I guess it depends on what your products are. Then again, you could set up a paypal account and then make your own website.
